Construction activity for “Pods 2 & 3 of “Phase II” of Sacony Commons was completed by spring 2006, adding 24 new three-person apartments (72-beds).
This final section opened for the fall 2006-spring 2007 academic year!
Sacony Commons is now complete, offering 159 single private rooms in 3-person fully equipped private apartments!
“Pod 1” containing 11 apartments and our On-site manager’s office was completed and fully occupied starting with the fall 2005 semester.
Summer 2007 and the 2007-2008 academic year are just around the corner, and many applications have already been received.

“Phase I” of Sacony Commons, which opened in August, 2004, includes eighteen, three-person apartments (54 beds) on the south side of Normal Avenue.
Sacony Commons is a short walk to KU’s campus, free off-street parking is one of the many amenities included, and the KU Shuttle stops at Sacony Commons!
On site parking, safety, high speed internet…now including “Wi-Fi”-WIRELESS! Expanded channel (96 channels) Cable television and a complete furniture and appliance package, including a WASHER AND DRYER (not coin-op) in each unit are some of the many amenities you will enjoy.
Safety features include excellent lighting, on-site parking, non-combustible construction (steel frame and masonry), monitored fire alarm systems and full sprinkler system.
